Best Pizza Dough!
My Favorite Pizza Dough
1 cup sourdough starter
2 1/12 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon yeast
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
In a stand up mixer bowl, combine the sourdough starter, flour, yeast, salt and water. Use the hook dough attachment and let it run on medium-low speed for about 8 minutes.
After 8 minutes, drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil around the dough in the bowl and cover with a kitchen towel and let it rise for two to three hours.
Split the dough in half and drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil on 2 baking sheets. Place the dough on the baking sheet and start to press into a rectangle. Let it rest for 15 minutes and the press it again so it gets more spread out and thinner. Let it rest for 5 more minute before baking with your favorite toppings at 500º for 10-12 minutes.
