New York Steak Tacos Marinade

  • Juice of 2 limes

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic - chopped

  • 1 teaspoon Chile powder

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon dried Mexican oregano

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro

  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • New York or skirt steak

  1. Mix all the components together with a whisk. Pour the marinade directly over the steak and allow it to marinate for at least 1 hour. I like to use a large ziplock bag so the entire steak is covered in the marinade.

  2. After one hour, sear the steak in a cast iron skillet or on the grill. Sear on high heat for 2 minutes on each side. Take off the steak and cover it with a piece of foil for 5 minutes. After five minutes slice the steak into thin strips for your tacos!

I like to top these tacos with a little salsa, sour cream and my marinated onions! Enjoy!

With love + salt.
